Phoenix AI joins the NVIDIA Metropolis Software Partner Program
Tournai, Belgium — Feb 19, 2021 — Phoenix AI – a company specializing in the implementation of artificial intelligence and deep learning for the automatic detection of IP camera-based security and transport elements – today announced its inclusion as a partner in the NVIDIA Metropolis program.
Phoenix AI is the brainchild of Laurent Renard and Nathalie Vinchent, ex-founders of I-MOVIX. Taking their extensive knowledge of camera performance, Renard and Vinchent developed a hardware-based machine learning product which could be installed directly on camera edge, without need for internet connection, server or cloud-based processing.
The net result was the flagship Sm_All unit, an AI-based solution capable of performing up to four real-time detections in a single row and detecting up to 60 images per second. The Sm_All is generally applied in security, transport and smart city applications, where it can detect elements such as H&S PPE compliance in workers, transport flow, or access control on a site – or even across a city. In reality though, applications for the Sm_All are almost unlimited, as the units can be trained to detect whatever elements are required by the client. Based on an NVIDIA GPU-accelerated computing platform, the unit maintains low power consumption and small form factor. When these elements are combined with real-time output and flexibility in terms of network configuration, the Sm_All represents an increasingly important addition to smart city infrastructures.
As a partner within the NVIDIA Metropolis program, Phoenix AI will further be able to integrate flexibility, adaptability and full compatibility into their growing range of AI solutions. The NVIDIA Metropolis platform allows companies to create complete solutions for video capture, analysis, storage, and visualization – from the edge to the cloud. The partner validation program offers customers and integrators sizing tools and turnkey software packages enabling enterprise-ready intelligent video analytics (IVA) solutions that can be quickly deployed. The validated software, once deployed in the field, makes it hassle-free for companies to manage and upgrade software easily and scale out their IVA solutions everywhere. This includes high-end smart sensors, such as those found with Phoenix AI’s Sm_All edge on-device solution.

As a program partner, Phoenix AI plans to promote its offerings at NVIDIA and third-party events, as well as gain early access to various NVIDIA hardware and SDKs, which will further speed up deep-learning application development time and performance.

Phoenix AI is het geesteskind van Laurent Renard en Nathalie Vinchent, ex-oprichters van I-MOVIX. Gebruikmakend van hun uitgebreide kennis van videocamera performance, ontwikkelden Renard en Vinchent een op hardware gebaseerd machine learning-product dat direct op de camera kan worden geïnstalleerd, zonder dat een internetverbinding, server of cloud gebruik nodig is.
Het vlaggenschip SM_All is een op AI gebaseerde oplossing die tot vier real-time opsporingen tegelijk kan uitvoeren en tot 60 beelden per seconde kan detecteren. De samenwerking met het NVIDIA Metropolis-platform stelt Phoenix tevens in staat de flexibiliteit, toepasbaarheid en volledige compatibiliteit te integreren en verder te verbeteren met hun groeiende reeks AI-oplossingen.
Zodra de gecertificeerde software eenmaal is geïmplementeerd, stelt het bedrijven probleemloos in staat de software eenvoudig te beheren, te upgraden en uit te breiden. Dit omvat high-end slimme sensoren, zoals die van Sm_All, een product dat direct op de camera wordt geïnstalleerd.

Phoenix AI – une société spécialisée dans l’implémentation de l’intelligence artificielle et le deep learning pour la détection automatique pour les caméras IP de sécurité et pour les éléments de transports – a annoncé aujourd’hui son inclusion en tant que partenaire dans le programme NVIDIA Metropolis.
Phoenix AI est une idée originale de Laurent Renard et Nathalie Vinchent, ex-fondateurs de I-MOVIX. S'appuyant sur leurs connaissances approfondies des performances des caméras, Renard et Vinchent ont développé un produit d'apprentissage automatique basé sur une carte électronique qui peut être installée directement côté caméra, sans avoir besoin de connexion Internet, de serveur ou de traitement basé sur le cloud.
Le résultat net est l'unité phare SM_All; une solution basée sur l'intelligence artificielle capable d'effectuer jusqu'à quatre détections simultanées en temps réel et de détecter jusqu'à 60 images par seconde.
